Handkerchief Doll
Materials:
Handkerchief
Cotton Ball
6" ribbon color to match design on handkerchief
Optional: small piece of lace, needle and thread

Instructions:

Using the diagram as your guide: place the handkerchief right side down in front of you with the point containing the design facing away from you. Place the cotton ball just below the center of the handkerchief and fold the top down. You should now have the design facing toward you.

Fold the cotton ball and handkerchief toward the back.

Tie the right and left points in a single knot.

Tie the ribbon around the 'neck' of your doll.

Optional: stitch a small piece of lace around the 'face area' as a bonnet.

Carrying a hanky, cotton ball and ribbon in your purse and you can make this simple "Handkerchief Doll" in seconds to give a child a quiet plaything in a few minutes.
