Trace the pattern pieces on the back of the appropriate color felt. The flower head, leaves and heart are templates, no seam allowance is needed. If using fusible web trace the templates on the fusible web, iron onto the back of the felt. Cut out each piece.

Position the felt flower, leaf and heart on one 4 1/2" X 5 1/2" felt piece using the picture as your guide. Buttonhole or blanket stitch around the flower and the leaves. Attach the heart using one of the buttons. A few tack stitches to hold the edges down may be needed if you are not using iron on fusible web.

Blanket stitch across the top of each pocket piece. Place the 2 pocket pieces wrong sides together and blanket/buttonhole stitch around the other 3 sides forming your pocket.

Stitch the ribbon or cording to the top of the pocket using the remaining 2 buttons stitched to cover the attachment.
