The picture is your pattern. It will shrink to a managable size for a key chain. You can use some of the fancy scissors to cut it out if you wish.

Materials:

A piece of Shrink Plastic approximately 6" square
A hole punch
A piece of sandpaper
Colored pencil or paint in red or pink
Permanent pen
Metal key chain

Instructions:

Lightly sand the Shrink Plastic on both sides then using the pattern piece trace the heart shape onto your Shrink Plastic and cut it out. Punch a hole a fourth of an inch inside the dip of the heart. Color your heart with either colored pencils or acrylic paint. Remember as the plastic shrinks the color will become darker and more intense.

On the front side of the heart write with a permanent fine point marker "I" place a heart shape and the letter "U". Use the picture as your guide.

Following manufacturers instructions for your Shrink Plastic place it in the preheated oven for the specified length of time. Your heart is finished when it has become completely flat. Be sure to get adult help for the shrinking process.

Place the metal key chain through the punched hole after your shrink heart has completely cooled. This makes a nice Valentine gift for family and friends.
