weather proof sealer for wood yard art

Can anyone give me some advice on how to weather proof my own designs of yard art?
I am an artist and I paint on canvas. Recently I started painting my whimsical designs on wood, glass. I am wanting to try making some of my own yard art and want to make sure when I sell them in a arts/crafts show that they can withstand the weather.
