Help I.D. this doll

Hi: I'm knew to this type of doll and would like to know more about her, also value maybe. I bought this at a sale of an elderly woman's doll collection. It has a hard plastic body and I guess if is vinyl head, it is softer. What is interesting about the doll is that it has a wind up/down crank on the waist at the back. When you turn it the legs extend to make it a growing doll, or turn the other way and the legs shorten. I thought it was interesting but would like more info.
