Will your sewing machine model take a double needle?
I use a double needle, but you have to sew from the right side of the fabric, with the hem allowance towards the feed dog, so leave the hem allowance a little longer from the desired hem fold, to catch the stitches. Pin well, sew then just trim off the extra allowance!

*MAKE SURE YOUR SEWING MACHINE IS SET ON STRAIGHT
STITCH WHEN USING A DOUBLE NEEDLE.
