One year we received a bag with homemade bread and jam; another year a mug with a pkg of hot cocoa mix. In the bag were two letters... one had an elf on it and said "You've been jingled" with instructions of making copies of it and taking presents to the neighbors without getting caught. I think it said to take at least to two or three neighbors.. then the other letter was one to post on the door to say, "This house has been Jingled" so no one else would come to your house.
It was quite fun. The downside of it, is not everyone has means to make copies, or like some of our neighbors were not able to get out...to those, we would just take a gift and say You've been jingled...Merry Christmas
