For general instructions on how to connect the cups you can go here: http://www.newcelebritystudios.com/poohsrainforest/PoohXmasCrafts.html Here is how to put the Snowman together: I use a wood burning gun to keep the cups together. They keep for a very long time, too. You will need 3 balls. Each one will have 46 cups and 100 lights in each ball. Make a ring with 12 cups then next you will put 9 cups on top of the 12 and then your last 4 cups will fall in place to make your 1st half of the ball. Do the very same thing for the other half of the ball but do not put your last 4 cups in .... you will need that space to sit your ball on the floor. Make 2 more balls the very same way you made the first one. To put them together turn your 1st ball with the open end to the floor - the hole is to make the ball stay in place. Don't forget to put your lights in the cups before you stack the balls together. I use 100 clear lights to each ball. You plug them in to each other. You can also put garland in the middle to help cover up your cords. The second ball will go on top of the first one with the hole to the bottom. You will have to work with it just a little to get it right and in line. I took my wood burning gun and went around the edge. With ties or small wire, you wire the 2 balls together. I put 6 ties around each ball. Do your last ball the very same way. You should have all 3 balls lined up by now and will not fall. You will have to work just a little to get them to sit on top of each other. Now I took 2 cups that were side by side and painted the 2 cups black to make the eyes and the cup under the eyes I painted that one orange to make his noise. I put a bow on mine. You could use a wrap around the neck if you rather have that. The bow at Wal-Marts is 88 cents. For the hat I made a top hat out of the flop foam. I used black ties to fasten it to his head. And that's your snowman, I have made about 15 now. Everyone that sees mine wants one made. If you are going to put it outside, you can buy the round sticks at Wal-Mart and sit it down on the stick so the wind will not blow it away. Good Luck, Glenda A couple of images are here: http://www.geocities.com/jueleen/solosnowman.jpg
