Care of quilts with metallic thread

I have just completed an applique/whole cloth type quilt using lots of metallic thread. I want to wash it before I deliver it, and I want to send it off with accurate care instructions. It is going to a 20-something. Does anyone have experience with what will happen if the quilt is put into a dryer???
