I got this email from Jody Cook if Our Villa Dolls, A Seeley Distributor in Oklahoma City. Thought some of you might find it of interest:

"Hi Everyone,
I have been noticing some e-mails about Seeley's, and I have good news and bad news to share with you. The bad news is that if you were wondering about the status of Seeley's Doll Company, you are correct there is no more Seeley's. The good news is that New York Doll Products .--The company that had purchased the mold portion of Seeley's last year, will be soon producing many of the same products that Seeley's once produced. These will include the molds, composition bodies, paints, and slip. They will be manufactured in New York with the same quality and attention to detail that everyone is used to. They hope to be up and running within the next few months, hopefully sometime this Spring, so watch for details. If you want to get on their mailing list you can e-mail info@newyorkdollproducts.com. This way you get all the news when it happens.

Clyde and I are confident that although this is a slight bump in the road, we will all survive. In fact, we are excited about all the new possibilities for the dollmaking industry. It make take a while to have all the new products available, but we will have them as soon as possible.

One thing that hasn't changed is the Doll Artisan Guild. It has been a separate entity from Seeley's for the past year. The seminar and competition programs haven't changed, but have only gotten better. Watch for exciting things on this front.

That's about all the info. I have right now. I hope that this helps to answer some questions. Please contact me if you have any more questions or concerns."

Hope that this helps clear up the confusion and answers a few questions.

: : Anybody know what happened to the Seeley's website? I know there have been many issues, bankruptcy, redistribution of product lines, and so forth. The website, however, was still a wonderful resource for doll reference info and photos of dolls, and much more. Now it appears that the site is gone. Does anyone know if they will be back up at any time? Or am I missing something? Just wondering.

: Hi! I too was disappointed when I could not find the Seeley site. Don't know what happened to that but you can find some of their supplies and the pattern line at the new owners site. It is S & S Fired Arts and the web address is sandsfiredarts.com Hope that helps!
