Can anyone help me identify this doll? No maker marksPosted by Alicia on July 12, 2009 at 01:35:57: Today I found a great old doll (slightly chewed by an animal sadly, but still gorgeous to me!) and can't seem to identify her. I can tell simply by her very heavy plastic and string mechanisms that she is definitely pre-1960's. She looks to me like an "Effanbee Honey" but she has NO maker marks that I can find anywhere. Don't Effanbees have a mark? She has painted lips, eyebrows, and lower lashes. She has green (? here because her eyes don't work so well) sleepy eyes. She's 14" tall. Blondish hair, more of a light tan really, but could be age. Her head has metal mechanisms for stringing (and the sleepy eyes) inside and her arms and legs are strung with metal attached to a rubber band. She feet are short for her height. She has a pre-teen body, and a belly button. I have pictures that I can send upon request. I know my description isn't enough to really go by. Also, on a different note, but while I'm posting, does anyone know a good source for clothes and shoes for 18" Miss Revlon? Thanks!!!
