Mom's Vintage Paper Doll Collection For Sale

Hi, My mom collected for years, and now needs to sell her collection. Could anyone tell me where, who, how is the best way to help her get a fair price and not get ripped off? Is there a place to post or show the paper dolls? I live far away from her and I think she's going to simply let an antique store sell them slowly and take a big portion of the money she could use as she is getting older and lives by herself.
Any advice would be appreciated.
