Magazine Christmas TreePosted by Barbara on November 05, 2006 at 17:04:01: These sound really gross, but look fabulous when completed. I've used these both at home and in a workplace where the powers that be were too stingy to provide Christmas decorations. Take one magazine, the thicker the better, with glossy pages. Go through all the pages, folding each one on the diagonal to the centre fold of the magazine, and creasing the fold well. The more care you take, the better the tree looks, and stands. You end up with a triangular shaped mag. Glue the front and back covers together - a bit like the old folded tissue paper decorations. There's your Christmas tree. You can leave the tree as is, especially if a "themed" magazine was used. For example, a trucking or car magazine has a masculine look. Use a bit of imagination here. I usually spray paint using cans - doesn't have to be too exact, or completely cover all the paper. My favourite choices are gold and silver, and copper and gold. You can add a decoration on the top but the tree doesn't really need it.
