1954 Painted Lash Walker question...............

Hi, I have a straight leg, painted lash walker Ginny doll, 1954. From my research, I can only find that the back of the 1954 PLW doll had stamped, "Patent Pending", as the Patent # were issued the next year. My Ginny is all original, yet she has a Patent Number on her back. Is this a rare Ginny or is this common?
