1960 cloth dolls with closed eyes

Hello All,
My mother is looking for a cloth doll that she wanted in the 1960s, but never was able to get. She remembers that the doll was around six inches or so, cloth/rag doll, with cosed eyes and sewed on clothing. She's not sure if the doll was manufactured by a national company, or whether it was a local (New England) company, but she remembers all of her friends having them in New Hampshire. Any help at all would be fantastic, and greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
