Bisque/Porcelain Doll Question - vacuum sealed?

Hello, my daughter received two antique dolls as a gift from my mother-in-law and prior to this my brother-in-law, thinking he was doing a good thing, vacuum sealed the dolls in a seal-a-meal type machine. They were told that if we release the vacuum that the heads would breakdown/explode/deteriorate???
Does anyone know anything? My 10 year old is very anxious about this.
