I have a very old doll that looks like she was made in Holland. She is about 7 to 8 inches tall, has a plain cloth bandana on her head (molded hair) it's obvious there are seams and I don't know what she's made from she has an embroidered dress covered with a green felt like vest, black skirt of the same material and an apron made of the same cloth her underdress is made out of.
The doll was made as a wind up toy with a mechanism that if wound up (though the key isn't here, it still works if you turn it or move her arms)
a tiny baby is in her arms and the mechanism was designed to make her arms move up and down as if rocking the baby. the legs are straight and made of wood, there are wooden shoes on her feet and something under the dress that if pushed on makes a squeaking sound. The face and hands seem to be made of a material that feels almost like plastic but is not ..definitely not porcelean or breakable.
the lower arms and hands are made of the same but attached to wire for the upper arms which are attached to whatever mechanism is used to move the arms. There is nothing written anywhere on the doll.
