OLD DOLL- SCRATCHED MARKING ON NECK 0 AND BACKWARD 5

I have had this doll that was my Grandmother's since the mid 60's and I called him "Old Baby" when I was a small child! Does anyone recognize that marking. He has a sticky rubbery head, legs and arms. Cloth body filled with threads and shredded rags. Wood plugs at extemities with wire. Sawdust coming out. A "crybox" in chest says "F&S"
