The box is not in good shape but the doll looks brand new as if it's never been out of the box. I can't seem to find a photo of this doll wearing this dress so maybe she was purchased without the dress and then dressed in it although it is definitely a Madame Alexander dress. Kathy, I have been looking for this doll which I had when I was a little girl, and just lost out on one that sounds exactly like what you have found from your grandmother. It went for $265.00.
