I am looking for information on a vintage pedestal doll. On the bottom of the ceramic pedestal the words "BB Brooks Ped-A-Doll" are hand painted in gold leaf. The doll looks very much like Mae West--only very trim! She is wearing a large black picture hat, black dress (almost can-can or saloon style?), fishnet stockings and has lovely, long, blonde curls, and delicate painted features.She stands approx 10". She is very pretty... not gaudy at all and the materials are excellent quality. Her one foot stands on point in the pedestal, while her other leg is swinging up in a high kick! She is really something else. I purchased her many years ago in an antique shop in Newport when I was a child.Can email pictures if anyone can tell me about her or her value.
